Take care of following tasks before you proceed with flashing custom ROM:
Task 1: Install USB drivers for your device on your PC.
Task 2: Be sure to backup your data including Contacts, SMS / MMS, APN & MMS Settings as well as photos and videos stored on your device’s internal or external storage.
Task 3: Make sure that your device is well charged. Ideally, the battery level should be around 60-80%. The more the better.
Task 4: USB Debugging should be enabled on your device.

Done with preliminary precautionary steps? So, here’s the guide:

TWRP recovery let’s you do a number of cool stuff but the whole point of having a custom recovery is to be able to flash unsigned .zip files. These .zip files could be anything from a custom kernel, boot, recovery, MODs or full custom ROMs.

Let’s see how to flash a lineage os rom on Moto MAXX using TWRP recovery.

How to Install a Lineage os ROM using TWRP Recovery

  1. Download and transfer the Lineage os ROM and Gapps for linage os you wish to flash to your device’s storage.

  5. After selecting the .zip file, do “Swipe to Confirm Flash” on the bottom of screen to begin the custom ROM installation process. This may take some time.
  6. Once your ROM is successfully flashed, you’ll see “Wipe cache/dalvik” option, select it and then do “Swipe to wipe” on bottom of screen.
  7. Once cache & dalvik wipe completes, hit the “Back” button on-screen and then select “Reboot System” button.

    1. Hi Shan..Is it stable Rom? Do you face any bug? Is every thing working?

    2. Okay so heres the thing
The ROM itself is pretty stable, with each and every feature working flawlessly. The only downside you will notice is in the battery life. It only provide 4-4.5 hrs of On Screen Time with moderate usage (compared to 5.5-6 hrs in my case on Stock Rom)
So please see accordingly. I have provided you with the numbers but do note that u aint gonna get great battery life as you would've been getting in stock marshmallow rom.

  3. Could anybody list the things that work and the ones that don't work with this build?

    1. Everything works pretty well for me in my maxx

  4. I'm facing issue with cellular data that cannot be started or connected (whatever if is LTE, 3G or 2G). It only happens with the latest release [20170204].

  5. Thank you for this ROM is pretty stable, smoth and so fast. The only issue I´ve faced is that device shuts down when battery is about 15-20 percent as it is already in 0. I turn the device on again and the battery is still 15-20 percent. This happen most when playing games at that battery level. Hope this update fixes that

    1. I have this problem with stock rom, maybe is a hardware battery problem.

  6. Hii!! I have quick question..
The Moto Maxx and Droid Tubo are the same phone right?? So this ROM should work on the Droid Turbo as well.

  7. Will it work on my Droid Turbo XT1254??
