Hello peeps in this guide we will show you how you can install Magisk Systemless root on lineageos rom on any device.We already shared the list of device which got the official lineage os rom you can download it from our Lineage OS Downloads page. After installing custom rom you need root access to customise it right? root? So, We are going to show you different ways to root Lineage OS.Follow this guide to get Magisk Systemless root on any Lineage OS rom.


What is magisk

 Magisk is a mod developed by XDA user topjohnwu, who is also responsible for the systemless Xposed flashable zip. Essentially, Magisk (which is short for Magic Mask) "aims to overcome these difficulties [of systemless mods] and create a universal interface for everyone to develop and use systemless mods."

 You can also choose to flash SuperSU if you want. Let’s see how to root Lineage OS with Magisk Systemless root.

PREREQUISITES

  • Make sure you’ve unrooted your device if you’ve it rooted earlier using any methods.
  • We need a custom recovery like TWRP to flash few files. Since you’re on this page, we hope you have a working custom recovery.
  • Restore the boot image back to stock. [Worked well with default Lineage OS without any custom boot images]
  • Take a nandroid backup of your current ROM just in case.

DOWNLOAD MAGISK SYSTEMLESS ROOT





MAGISK SYSTEMLESS ROOT ON LINEAGE OS


  1. Download the Magisk zip file, uninstaller and the SuperSU files on your device from above link.
  2. Now Reboot your device into recovery mode.
  3. Now you cane root your device with MagiskSU or SuperSU.
    • Fo installing SuperSU, flash the SuperSU in systemless mode. Then flash the Magisk zip on your device.
    • If you want to go with much integrated MagiskSU, just flash the Magisk zip.
  4. Finally Reboot your device.
  5. Once the device is turned on then download the latest Magisk Manager  to manage it.
  6. You device is rooted by now.
After this you device running on lineage os will be rooted if this method does not works then you can follow below method to root lineage os using Supersu addon via recovery.

    after installing magisk on booting im gettin "kernel is not seandroid forcing" rom is workin f9.
    is it an issue? if so

    whats the fix?

    This is nice, it let's me use an app (Vipps) that don't usually allow running on rooted phones.

    after installing this, my device got bootloop into twrp. the bootanimation wont show up

    Hello,

    I have instal lineagos on my galaxy note 2 (N7105), and i can't use magisk with safetynet in green.
    Can you give me a solution ?

    Cheers for this guide, got my Redmi note 3 running lineage OS 13 running magisk. (had to remove root and xposed)

    Now trying to get past safety net, keeps failing for some reasons.
